Terms & Conditions of Hire

These Terms and Conditions apply exclusively to the hire of Giant Paper Flowers from Sara Lomelli | Paper Floral Art. By placing a hire order, you ("the Hirer") agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before proceeding.

1. Definitions

• Owner: Sara Lomelli | Paper Floral Art

• Hirer: The individual or entity hiring the items

• Items: The giant paper flowers and associated props that are hired out

• Hire Period: The duration agreed for the hire, as specified on the invoice

2. Hire Period

• The standard hire period is 24 hours.

• Any extension must be agreed in writing in advance and may incur additional charges.

• All hired items remain the property of Sara Lomelli | Paper Floral Art at all times.

• The Hirer assumes full responsibility for all items from the point of delivery/collection until return/collection by the Owner.

3. Delivery and Collection

• Standard delivery is available within a 10-mile radius of Hackney Wick, London, for an additional fee (subject to availability). Otherwise, flowers must be collected and returned to the Hackney Wick studio on the agreed day and time slot.

• Minimum hire spend is £200, excluding delivery charges.

• The Hirer must inspect items upon receipt. Any shortage or damage must be reported immediately upon delivery. If no inspection is made or no person is present, the items are deemed to be in good, clean condition.

• At the end of the hire period, all items must be securely packed in the same manner they were delivered.

• The Hirer must provide safe, level, and unobstructed access to and from the premises for delivery and collection.

• Items must not be moved from the delivery location without prior written consent from the Owner.

• Late returns will incur additional charges.

4. Use of Items

• Hired flowers are for decorative purposes only and must be used in accordance with any provided instructions.

• The Hirer is responsible for ensuring items are kept away from water, open flames, food, and beverages.

• The Owner accepts no liability for injury or damage caused through misuse or improper handling.

5. Payment Terms

• A non-refundable booking fee of 50% is required to secure your date and items.

• The remaining balance is due six weeks before the event date.

• For bookings made within 6 weeks of the event, full payment is required upfront.

• For bespoke or custom-made orders, a Pro-Forma invoice will be issued before production.

• Invoices for loss or damage must be settled within 10 working days of issue.

6. Damage, Loss, and Cleaning

• The Hirer is fully responsible for all hired items during the hire period.

• Any loss, damage, or excessive wear will be charged at the full replacement cost as listed on my website.

• Damage caused by liquids, staining, or misuse will be considered chargeable.

• I will notify the Hirer of any damage within 5 working days of item return.

7. Cancellations by Hirer

Cancellations must be made in writing. The following charges will apply:

• More than 30 days’ notice: 50% of the total hire charge

• 15 to 29 days’ notice: 75% of the total hire charge

• 14 days or less: 100% of the total hire charge

8. Cancellations by Owner

The Owner reserves the right to cancel the hire due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. force majeure, illness, or event cancellation). In this case, a full refund will be issued, and no further liability shall be incurred.

9. Liability and Insurance

• The Owner is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss incurred during the hire period, once the items have been delivered or collected.

• The Hirer accepts full liability for any injury or damage arising from misuse or improper setup/use of the items.

• The Owner's total liability under any circumstances shall not exceed the total value of the hire contract.

• The Owner does not provide public liability insurance covering the use of hired items once delivered.

• We strongly recommend that the Hirer obtain adequate insurance to cover accidental damage, loss, or injury for the duration of the hire.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed and interpreted by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
